James Merrick: October 19th & 20th, 2024
The sudden loss of James Merrick has left a profound void in the lives of all who knew and loved him. As a cherished husband, father, son, brother, and friend, James was a pillar of strength and support in countless lives.
In memory of James, the Miles for Merrick team—Mitch, Blake, Joel, JL, Luke and Fraser—will take on an extraordinary challenge. Each member of the team will run 100 kilometers within 21 hours to support Rach, Ellie, and Baby Merrick in completing the build of their family home. We invite the community to come together to help us reach an additional milestone of covering 1000
miles (1600 kilometers), embodying the spirit of “#neveralone.”
How You Can Participate:
- Come Together as a Community: Attend our community event on Saturday, October 19th, at 5 pm. Join us as we send off the runners and celebrate Jimmy’s life. [See event details.]
- Join the Run: Participate in the running challenge on Sunday, October 20th, at the Narellan Sports HUB Athletics Track. Every step you take helps support the Merrick family.
- Support the Cause: Contribute to covering the additional 1000 miles. Your support and encouragement will make a significant impact.
- Spread the Word: Share the event with your network and encourage others to get involved. Together, we can make a lasting difference.
Let’s honor James Merrick’s memory by coming together as a community and showing that no one is ever truly alone. All donations will go directly to the family to complete the building of the family home, which Jimmy started.
